Great still Robert! Thanks. From all that I've read about LAM over at CHFB (Classic Horror Film Board) it probably was NOT one of Lon's better movies. STILL, it remains the Holy Grail of lost treasure. I've seen the "still" re-creation, and personally, I liked it. Whether a copy ever turns up (and I doubt that one will), I still love the ICONIC look of Chaney with that Beaver Top Hat and those protruding teeth. best, r/e
Although the rational side of my brain tells me any prints of London After Midnight are long gone due to the nitrates they used back then, the monster kid in me keeps hoping it will turn up.
Me too. Forrest Ackerman told me a few years ago that someone in England claims to have a print, but they won't share it with the world. I wonder if that's true...

FANTASTIC shot—never seen this one before. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI've heard the same thing, but the make-up is so great it will never be forgotten!
