    Some parts were filmed in his NC studios....
    the actress, Lang suffered a rather odd "accident" on set... when Kong has her in his hand poking a finger at her... one of the cables snapped... (Carlo Rambaldi's mechanisms)... and "Thumped" her across the sound stage ... a couple of ribs and a bad sprain... Not a "normal" accident...
