I remember reading William K Everson's seminal volume 'Classics of the Horror Film' in 1975 describing his reactions to this film and stating then that 'The Ghoul' was considered a lost film. Thankfully a print was found in Eastern Europe in the mid 1980's and I finally managed to see this film on television in Sydney in the early 1990's. Is it a lost masterpiece..no... but it is a great deal of fun and Boris Karloff will always be 'Karloff the Uncanny' to me. Great photo, Sir!
