I remember seeing this photo of Bela and Lon in a little paperback book called Great Movie Monsters (I think) by Edward Edelson way back in 1975 when I was about 12. I saw this film on late, late night tv not longer after and it is still one of my favourites of the Universal series. Roy William Neill was the right director for this one and makes me wish that he wasn't so busy on the Universal Sherlock Holmes series so he could helm some of the other Universal horrors of the period. His 'The Black Room' with Karloff from 1935 is also great.
