  1. Great photo from a marvellous, atmsopheric film. Both Karloff and Lugosi were at their best!
    Karloff's character, Hjalmar Poelzig was partly based on Aleister Crowley.

    1. Aleister Crowley was NOT a Satanist. There is not a single thing about Karloff's character that is even remotely like Crowley.
